You can reset your Asus Router through the web GUI if you can still enter the web GUI, i.e., by logging into the router admin console. Follow the below-mentioned steps to perform an Asus Router account reset using the web GUI:
Turn on your router by connecting the power adapter of the router to the electric socket and turning on the power switch.
Once the router is turned on, plug one end of an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your computer and another to one of the LAN ports of your router. Below-mentioned is an illustration of the factory reset Asus Router RT-AC66U.
Once the connection between the router and your computer is established, open a web browser on the computer.
Type “192.168.1.1” in the browser’s address bar and press Enter. In case nothing appears on the screen, type “http://router.asus.com” and press Enter to open the router login page.
Enter the login username and password in the required fields, and click on “Sign In” to log into the router management console. In case you didn’t change the login credentials, enter the default username and password.
Now, if you are wondering how to reset Asus Router using the web GUI, click on “Administration” under the “Advanced Settings” tab.
Click on the “Restore/Save/Upload Setting” tab at the top.
Under the “Factory Default” section, click on the “Restore” button.
